Kimberly Van Der Beek and Eric Dane’s family ties live on.
Grey’s Anatomy actor James Van Der Beek, who died on February 19 at the age of 53, shared a personal message to Eric’s estranged wife Rebecca Gayheart and reminisced about their time together after her husband James Van Der Beek passed away eight days ago after a battle with cancer.
In a post on her Instagram Stories on February 21, Kimberly, 43, shared an old photo of herself and James posing on the red carpet with Eric, Rebecca, and the ex’s daughters Billie (now 15) and Georgia (now 14), writing alongside the photo: “I miss all the guys laughing at Christmas parties.”
Amid her own grief, Kimberly, who is the mother of six children with the late Dawson’s Creek alum, offered a message of support for Rebecca’s future path.
“Rest in peace @realericdane,” she shared. “We love you @rebeccagayheartdane.”
And the Once Upon a Time in Hollywood actress seemed grateful for the kind act, reposting Kimberly’s message on her Instagram Story with a mend heart emoji and adding, “I love you so much.”
