These furry soccer players are ready to hold the ball!
After all, February 8th won’t begin with the 2026 Super Bowl between the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks. Instead, some younger players will be on the field first.
The 22nd Annual Puppy Bowl features 150 dogs from 72 shelters competing for the coveted “Lombalkie” trophy. Airing on Animal Planet, Discovery, TBS, truTV, HBO Max, and Discovery+ at 2pm ET/11am PT, the broadcast will feature three straight hours of precious pup moments.
So who exactly is on the roster? Team Fluff, the reigning champions, will be led by Benito, a Siberian Husky Chihuahua, and Showgirl, a Chow Chow Rottweiler. Refusing to be left out, Lobster Roll, a bulldog and border collie, Brûlée, a Boston terrier and French bulldog, and Miso, an American cattle dog and beagle, lead Team Rough in their quest for redemption.
“Puppy Bowl XXII celebrates the underdog spirit and is a game-day celebration that combines the excitement of a sports game with an uplifting adoption story,” Discovery Channel head of content Joseph Boyle said in a press release.
