Kim Kardashian’s hairstylist Chris Appleton reveals the shocking cost of his services
Chris Appleton’s number one job is to eliminate bad hair days.
So while his job as a celebrity stylist may come with some perks (after all, his client list includes names like Kim Kardashian, Jennifer Lopez, and Ariana Grande), he always has his eye on the prize.
“At the end of the day, I’m there to do a job, so I always remember that,” he told Hot Goth’s Ale Booker and Ronnie Mertz, though he admitted that his relationship sometimes goes beyond professional boundaries. “I think it intersects organically. I think the people I work with have worked together for a long time, so there’s definitely a camaraderie there.”
The 42-year-old elaborated that their armchair camaraderie includes asking for advice from time to time and exchanging emails: “The group chat has all kinds of memes, some of them fun.”
That close bond and long history with clients means Chris has been there for some of celebrities’ biggest style moments, including Ariana’s ponytail days.
“I didn’t invent it. She already had a ponytail,” he explained. “That’s just what I like to do: pick up something and think, ‘How do I put a stamp on it?'” And that’s what happened. ”
