Prince Harry makes surprise appearance on Meghan Markle’s ‘With Love’ holiday special
It’s safe to say that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s next project will be a labor of love.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, along with Tracy Ryerson, will produce the film adaptation of Jasmine Guillory’s 2018 bestseller The Wedding Date for Netflix through their Archewell production company, multiple media outlets have confirmed.
Director Tracy Oliver, who set a record as the first black female screenwriter to gross more than $100 million at the global box office with 2017’s Girls Trip, will adapt the film, the first in a six-book series. It’s the story of a woman who agrees to attend a wedding with a man she meets while trapped in an elevator.
News of Meghan and Harry’s latest project comes after the Suits alum announced she would continue her collaboration with Netflix through a new first-look deal for TV and film projects, including lifestyle series “With Love, Meghan,” documentary series “Harry & Meghan,” “Polo” and her “As Ever” product line.
