“It feels like we’re on two different paths right now, and it sucks,” she said. “We’re good friends, so I don’t want anyone to pick him up or be mean to him or say it’s because he couldn’t be on ‘Dancing with the Stars,’ because he couldn’t come because of football.”
She continued, “This is not a drama. It’s not because he did anything wrong, it’s not because I did anything wrong. It just didn’t really feel like it was going to work out in that moment.”
Prior to their split, Alix, 24, and Braxton, 30, had sparked speculation about their relationship status dating back to the summer. During a trip to Spain in June, the influencer posted a TikTok video all day on the beach wearing an oversized T-shirt that read, “I love my boyfriend,” confirming that she and the NFL star were still going strong.
But rumors about the pair persisted, especially considering Braxton’s notable absence from audiences during her appearance on Season 34 of Dancing with the Stars. But when a fan asked Alix, who finished second alongside pro partner Val Chmerkovskiy, why her then-boyfriend wasn’t in the ballroom, she pointed to his busy playing schedule.
“Oh I wish you and Braxton were still together,” a fan commented on a Nov. 28 video on Alix’s TikTok page, to which she replied, “He couldn’t come to the football world.”
