McLaren’s Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri have been disqualified for technical violations, rekindling the title battle with Red Bull’s Max Verstappen for the final two races.

F1 championship leader Lando Norris and McLaren teammate Oscar Piastri were disqualified from the Las Vegas Grand Prix on Sunday for a technical violation.
It was discovered after the race that both cars’ skid blocks were shallower than the minimum depth.

Norris finished the race in second place behind Red Bull title challenger Max Verstappen, with Piastri fourth.
The disqualification leaves Norris with a 24-point lead over both Piastri and Verstappen heading into next weekend’s penultimate race of the season in Qatar, which includes a sprint.
With up to 58 points available for the final two Grands Prix, Norris needs to score two points more than both Verstappen and Piastri over the weekend to clinch the title in Qatar.
