New information has come to light surrounding the tragic death of Marshawn Kneeland.
Shortly before his body was found in an apparent suicide in Texas on November 6, the Dallas Cowboys defensive back was involved in a car chase with authorities. Now, a police report obtained by multiple media outlets reveals that the NFL star was driving at speeds in excess of 145 mph at various points during the pursuit.
According to a police report, Kneeland was first seen speeding by a Texas Department of Public Safety trooper on Nov. 5 at approximately 10:33 p.m., and police pursued his vehicle.
According to documents obtained by TMZ, authorities said during the chase that the athlete made “several dangerous lane changes” while reaching speeds “in excess of 145 miles per hour” as he passed other drivers.
Kneeland was missing for several hours after crashing into another vehicle and fleeing on foot, according to the Texas Bureau of State Police. Her body was discovered by a public safety trooper and a Frisco Police Department officer in the early hours of Nov. 6. He was 24 years old.
