Jake Paul is set to seek a rematch in late 2025 after his opponent Gervonta Davis is sued in a civil suit.

Jake Paul’s exhibition boxing match against lightweight champion Gervonta “Tank” Davis was called off on Monday, with Paul planning another bout before the end of 2025.
The highly anticipated fight between the two fighters was scheduled for November 14th in Miami, Florida, but Paul’s promotional organization, Most Valuable Promotions (MVP), announced on Saturday that it was reviewing the matter after a civil lawsuit was filed against Davis in Miami-Dade County last week.

MVP CEO Nakisa Bidalian said in a statement that Paul will headline another event streamed on Netflix later this year, with details including opponent, date and location to be announced once finalized.
The bout was originally scheduled for Atlanta, but was moved to Florida, and the bout was allowed despite the large weight difference between the boxers. Paul usually fights at cruiserweight, about 50 pounds (23 kg) above the 135-pound (61 kg) limit where Davis holds the title belt.
This match attracted a lot of attention around the world because of the novel nature of the match. The contest pitted the much larger Paul (12-1, 7 KOs), who first came to prominence for his boxing exploits on YouTube and famously fought former heavyweight world champion Mike Tyson in 2024, against Davis (30-0-1, 28 KOs), the current WBA champion and one of North America’s best-known boxers.
According to MVP, spectators who purchased tickets for the event through Ticketmaster will receive a refund.
