The talk show host said she recently had a ‘fear’ of breast cancer after undergoing an annual mammogramrevealed what it was like having to take additional tests.
“It’s something I wanted to take a risk to talk about on this show because I’ve had a scare recently,” Drew explained on the Nov. 3 episode. The Drew Barrymore Show. “I’m perfectly fine, but they took me to that room because the mammogram results were bad.”
She added: “Then I had an emergency biopsy and waited for five days.”

For many years, Drew is a major advocate for cancer screening, even filming herself undergoing a mammogram in October last year to help viewers “get over the fear” of getting screened.
