Zelenskyy tried to give momentum to US-led peace effortswill provide a ceasefire and a summit meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin. However, Moscow has problems with some suggestions, and the end of the bloody life I can’t see it nearby.

Furthermore, international concerns have recently emerged that the fighting could spread across Ukrainian borders as European countries denounced Russia for saying it was a provocation. Latvian President Edgars Rinkevis said on social media that Russia is aiming to test NATO’s political and military response and reduce Ukraine’s Western support by countries to redirect resources towards the defense of the Alliance.

Calibrating how to deal with Russia was not easy, Rinkevis said on Sunday. Russia was doing enough to not cross the red line, but things could still spiral, he added.

Zelenskyy was scheduled to attend the annual high-level gatherings at the UN General Assembly. There they planned to seek support for efforts to stop the Russian invasion.

“The schedule already includes almost 20 meetings with leaders from different countries in all parts of the world,” Zelensky told Telegram late Sunday.

Zelensky also plans to meet President Donald Trump, who had not progressed in his will to peace deal after taking office in January, he said.

“This week, peace will not win without strength, so it is important to strengthen the world’s resolve to robust action this week,” Zelenskyy said.

He said last week Russia launched more than 1,500 strike drones, 1,280 gliding bombs and 50 missiles of various types in Ukraine. He said more than 132,000 foreign elements have been found in weapons from dozens of countries.

Ukraine is campaigning for stricter sanctions against Russia.

Meanwhile, at least seven Russian aircraft bombed the Zaporidian city of Zaporidia in southern Ukraine overnight, killing three people and injuring two others, according to Regional Management Director Ivan Fedorov.

The attack began around 4:20am and lasted for about 40 minutes, Fedorov said. Residential buildings, shopping malls, parking lots and “critical infrastructure” were targeted, he said.

“None of the sites had anything to do with military infrastructure,” Fedorov said.

Russia made the same claim. Moscow-appointed head of Sergei Axonov of the Russian-occupied Crimean Peninsula in Ukraine, said three people had been killed and 16 were injured late Sunday.

The Russian Ministry of Defense said there are no military facilities there.

Three people were killed in Russia’s Belgorod border region, and another 10 people were injured in a Ukrainian drone attack on Sunday, according to region governor Vyacheslav Gladkov.

The Ministry of Defense said the Air Force had defeated 114 Ukrainian drones in several parts of Russia early on Monday.
