Danielle Fishel presents flowers to Mr. Feeney.
On the Oct. 14 episode of Dancing with the Stars, she paid tribute to her Boy Meets World co-star William Daniels, who played a strict but supportive teacher on the ABC comedy, with a special performance during the pageant’s dedication week.
Adding to the nostalgia, the 98-year-old was at the ballroom to cheer on Daniel and professional partner Pasha Pashkov as they danced to the Boy Meets World theme song.
As Bill, wearing a tan suit, leans against a dark desk in a classroom set, Daniel and Pasha jump out from behind and start jiving. At the end of the routine they returned to their desks and Bill sat there holding a grading sheet with an A+ written in red.
During the show, Danielle explained how the Boy Meets World actor supported her from the beginning.
“It was scary, but Bill, who has already won two Emmy Awards, treated me like I was a fellow actor and someone to be respected around the world,” she said. “It’s been more than 30 years since we met, and I can see how proud he is of me. He’s someone who is really important to me.”
Additionally, during a video chat during rehearsals, he shared a special message, saying, “I’m so proud of Daniel’s performance. I’m so happy to see him.”
