It’s a common theme. Robbie pointed out: “I hate being alone.”
Even at close range, she doesn’t care. After Barbie was completed in 2022, she and Ms. Ackerley took a British Pullman from London, then stayed overnight on the Orient Express from Paris to Venice. Then, on a trip to Japan, I crossed Kyushu on a seven-car Seven Star train.
“All I want to do is perform live on trains,” Robbie explained to Vogue.
Eating also plays a big role in their relationship, both overseas (they waited in line for three and a half hours to sample udon carbonara in Tokyo) and at home, where she tends to avoid the kitchen.
“My husband is a phenomenal cook,” Robbie raved on a February episode of the “Table Manners” podcast. “He could be a chef. He’s very good. We seem like a perfect match.”
However, she said she didn’t marry him for his knife skills and didn’t even know he was a great cook until they exchanged vows.
“He makes spaghetti bolognese in two days,” she explained. “He makes three-day fried rice with Korean short ribs. He makes steak better than any other restaurant I’ve ever been to!”
