The White House on Friday released a smartphone app touting President Donald Trump’s accomplishments in his second term and curating favorable news stories.

We also urge users to report information to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

In its message announcing the app, the White House said the app would provide up-to-date information about the Trump administration “unfiltered and straight from the source.”

The announcement comes after the White House shared a number of short and cryptic videos on its official social media channels, hinting at upcoming announcements but providing little context.

The app’s home page includes tiles with information about President Trump’s policy priorities and tiles about his accomplishments as president. Both direct viewers to links to existing pages on the official White House website.

At the bottom of the Social tab is a button that allows users to submit tips to ICE. This button links to a tip form on ICE’s official website.

Another page in the app focuses on affordability, a major issue for Americans since the COVID-19 pandemic, but one that has become even more urgent in Trump’s first year as president.

The app displays several grocery staples such as eggs, milk, bread, butter, and potatoes, and touts how much the cost of those items has fallen year-over-year. The prices listed for each product appear to correspond to data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Some items are more specific than what is shown in the app. For example, the listed price per gallon and year-over-year decline for “milk” is consistent with federal data for low-fat, reduced-fat, and skim milk, but not for whole milk, which has a smaller decline over the same period.

There are many other items not listed on the app that have increased in price over the past year, including ground beef, coffee, and orange juice.

Also, there is no oil; double digit percentage Since before February 28, when the United States and Israel began a war against Iran.

The Trump administration claims the war will only last about six weeks and that energy prices will fall soon after.

“Energy prices will be lower (and) inflation will be lower” than before the conflict caused “short-term instability,” Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said Thursday in a video conference with President Trump and his Cabinet.

The affordability section also includes a line touting that prescription drug costs are down 0.7% year-over-year. President Trump claimed that policies such as efforts to reach “most-favored-nation” agreements with drug companies have resulted in drug prices falling at record levels. The impact of these agreements is unclear, senior policy manager for Medicaid and uninsured programs at KFF, a nonpartisan health policy research group, wrote this month.

The app also includes a section on investments that foreign countries and large corporations have committed to make in the U.S., as well as a page on the border that says, “Zero illegal aliens released in the last 10 months.”

It also says it will offer a live stream, but President Trump’s remarks to farmers at the White House on Friday afternoon were not provided in real time on the app.
