Data After a week full of jobs data, data on inflation will be released on Thursday morning. PCE will appear on “Squawk on the Street” with Sara Eisen, Carl Quintanilla and David Faber at 10 a.m. ET. Experts expect personal consumption spending to increase by 0.3%. Consumer spending and personal income data will also be released at 10 a.m. Transportation The State Street SPDR Transportation ETF (XTN) is up 4.6% in four days. The ETF is down 3.75% from its 52-week high in December of last year. Trucking stocks have been leading the way this week, with Saia, Heartland Express and Old Dominion Freight Line all up in the 15% range. FTAI Infrastructure, also part of XTN, is up 18.5% so far this week. CNBC’s “Worldwide Exchange” anchor Frank Holland is monitoring the space closely and will be making more appearances on the big show starting Friday at 5 a.m. ET. Please set your alarm. It’s worth getting up. SoFi Technologies fintech announces initial public offering of common stock. Existing shareholders seem to share the same sentiments. they don’t like it. SOFI YTD Mountain SoFi Technologies Year-to-date Stock Price Victoria’s Secret Reveals Quarterly Numbers The retailer’s numbers will be announced on ‘Squawk Box’ with Becky Quick, Joe Kernen and Andrew Ross Sorkin. The team will be keeping an eye on this report and the stock price reaction. Victoria’s Secret stock has soared since our last report three months ago. Since then, the stock is up 62%. However, the stock is still about 15% from its 52-week high, set 51 weeks ago on December 13, 2024. VSCO YTD Mountain Victoria’s Secret Stock Since the beginning of the year, the US small-cap Russell 2000 has gained 1.23% in 4 days. It ended the day at 2,531, just shy of its October high of 2,541, a difference of 0.4%. The Russell 2000 index rose more than twice as much as any other major index this week. Miners BHP is up 7.8% so far this week. Stocks hit new highs on Thursday. Tech Resources rose 4.6% in four days. The Canadian-based company also hit a new high. Southern Copper rose 3.8% in four days. It is up 2.5% from its October high. Freeport-McMoRan has gained 3.8% in four days and is up 9% from its July high.
