Miranda Kerr first graced the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show stage in 2006, and the following year became the first Australian to sign with Angel.
After six years, she stepped away from VS Runway to focus on her son Flynn with ex-husband Orlando Bloom and pursue other career opportunities.
“It’s a natural evolution,” she told the Sunday Morning Herald at the time. “Actually, I’ve been modeling since I was 13 years old. I’m now entering a new phase in my life. I knew that time would come when my son was born, but after becoming a mother, I realized that I needed to prioritize my time.”
As Miranda grew both her business (including skincare brand Kora Organics) and her family (she welcomed sons Hart, Miles, and Pierre with her second husband, Snapchat founder Evan Spiegel), she realized she didn’t want to return to the VS stage.
“Those were some of my best modeling moments. I have so many great memories and so much fun working with the VS team and the other models,” she said on the Not Alone podcast in 2024. “But personally, I didn’t want to go back to those days because now I feel like I’m a mother of four boys. My life is going in a completely different direction.”
