Vanessa Bryant honors Kobe Bryant and Gianna Bryant on 6th anniversary of death
Vanessa Bryant remembers the lives of her loved ones.
Six years after her husband Kobe Bryant and daughter Gianna “Gigi” Bryant died in a helicopter crash in January 2020 that killed nine people, the businesswoman paid tribute to their legacy with a condolences.
In fact, Vanessa, who also shares daughters Natalia, 23, Bianka, 9, and Capri, 6, with the late NBA star, posted to her Instagram Stories on January 26, exactly six years after the fatal accident, a throwback photo of Kobe hugging Gigi while wearing two Lakers sports gear. Vanessa simply added a red heart emoji to the sweet father-daughter snap.
Kobe and seven others, including 13-year-old Gianna, were on board a Sikorsky S-76B helicopter heading from Orange County to a sports academy in Thousand Oaks, California, when the accident occurred. A year after the tragedy, investigators say the pilot of the Ara Zobayan helicopter appeared to have experienced “spatial disorientation” (a condition in which a pilot loses an accurate understanding of the aircraft’s location, according to Skybrary Aviation Safety) during the flight on the foggy morning of the incident, which ultimately led to him losing control.
