Emily Maynard Johnson and her husband Tyler Johnson couldn’t be happier to add a new rose to their garden.
After the Bachelorette alum’s daughter Ricky Hendrick (shared with late race car driver Ricky Hendrick) announced the birth of her first child, Romi, the new grandparents shared a slew of adorable snapshots of their first moments with the newest addition to the family.
Emily and Tyler, who appeared on Season 8 of the ABC drama, captioned a joint Instagram post on Jan. 23: “Today we became grandparents!!” along with three white heart emojis. “This feeling is indescribable. This is love.”
In one sweet photo, Ricky’s mother shares a kiss with his stepfather, who holds his granddaughter in his arms. In another photo, the entire family, including Emily and Tyler’s children Jennings Tyler, 10, Gibson Kyle, 9, Gatlin Avery, 7, Magnolia Bell, 5, and Jones West, 3, smiled for the camera as Ricky, 20, cradled their infant daughter as he lay in a hospital bed.
The couple, who married in 2014, ended the caption with a Biblical reference, adding, “1 John 4:7-11.”
