No. 10: He can withstand pressure.
Not only has Travis been to four Super Bowls and won three of them (NBD!), but he also hosts Saturday Night Live, so you know he can handle the intense spotlight with ease.
It may seem trivial, but Taylor has written several songs about her fear that her level of fame might become too much for her lover. (See: “Peace” and “Archer”)
“It depends on who you’re with,” Taylor said. “If they have serious issues, they’ll hide, and I don’t really like that because it makes me feel like I’m running from the law or something. I don’t want to feel like a fugitive, like, ‘Oh my god, we’re in a relationship, you better hide!'”
“I think it’s okay if you’re dating and it’s considered normal.”
And Travis proved in an interview with WSJ that he’s more than capable of handling the pressures that come with marrying someone as powerful as Taylor.
“Of course I’ve never dated anyone with that kind of aura…I’ve never dealt with it,” he said. “But at the same time, I’m not running away from it.”
“She has paparazzi every day outside her house, outside every restaurant she goes to, every time she gets off a plane, and how many magnifying glasses are pointed at her, but she just lives and enjoys life,” he added. “When she acts like that, I better not act weird.”
