The Seattle Seahawks have re-established their dynasty.
The Seattle team won the Super Bowl for the second time in history after the Patriots and Seahawks faced off in Super Bowl LX on February 8 at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.
“It’s a dream come true,” Seahawks running back Kenneth Walker said in a postgame interview. “A lot of people can play their whole career and still not get to this point.”
Cornerback Devon Witherspoon, meanwhile, said the win felt really “amazing” and joked, “I’m going to have one or two or three, but who knows?”
For quarterback Sam Darnold, who won his first Super Bowl after eight years in the league, the win was “unbelievable.”
“With everything that’s happened in my career, I wouldn’t want it any other way with this team,” Sam said in the post-game interview. “I’m so proud of our players.”
And given that Sam has been passed on from team to team over the years, he was especially impressed to experience this big moment.
“All my teammates and all my previous coaches have always believed in me,” he added. “Thanks to my family and friends, I’ve always believed in myself. It’s as simple as that.”
