Savannah Guthrie got honest about party fouls.
The Today co-anchor confessed to getting a little too rowdy during the holiday party, admitting to Jenna Bush Hager that he “smacked” a network correspondent during the celebration.
The reveal was made on the Dec. 23 episode of Jenna & Friends, during which the pair answered questions from fans, and Savannah encountered one that was a bit off-topic.
“There’s an office holiday party in a few days,” the 53-year-old man’s inquiry read. “My best friend at work, Jackie, always ‘overserves’ and gets unreasonably flirtatious at events like this. Last year she kept hanging out with our boss and she doesn’t remember any of it. Should I say something in advance or should I roll the dice?”
When Jenna, 44, jokingly asked the producers if they had posed the question themselves, Savannah quipped that she had been in a similar predicament.
“As someone who has spanked a network correspondent at a holiday party, I have to say that,” she began, clarifying that she had not reached out to him, but was simply “spanking him in the air.”
And while Savannah, who has been married to Michael Feldman since 2014, did not reveal the correspondent’s name, she did clarify that it was a “man.”
