Ozempic is no laughing matter for comedians. Ms Handler revealed that an “anti-aging doctor” prescribed the drug without her knowing what it was.

“I didn’t even know I was on it,” she said on the January 25, 2023 episode of “Call Her Daddy.” “She said, ‘If you want to lose five pounds, this is it.'”

But Handler noted that while trying the drug, she didn’t like the way it felt.

“I came back from vacation and injected myself with it,” she recalled. “A few days later, I went to lunch with my girlfriend and she said, ‘I really haven’t eaten anything. I’m feeling nauseous. I’m taking Ozempic.’ And I thought, ‘I feel kind of nauseous, too.’ But I had just returned from Spain and was jet lagged. ”

Ultimately, Handler added, he stopped using it because it wasn’t medically necessary, and gave the remaining doses to a friend.

“I’ve injected four or five friends with Ozempic because I realized they didn’t want to use it because it was stupid,” she said. “This is for the heavy ones. When people come to your house, you’re like, ‘Okay, I’ll see you at 1 o’clock, I’ll see you at 2 o’clock.’
