“It has to be clean so it doesn’t clog your pores or harm your skin, because obviously we’re wearing Nomex fireproof (suits). We’re in the car for a long time, so we sweat a lot,” Cook told E! “If that happens, it will definitely break out even more.”

“It’s okay to be feminine in this field. Seeing other female drivers has helped me embrace that more myself and not feel like I need to hide it or feel guilty or that I’m a little bit feminine. That doesn’t mean I don’t take racing as seriously,” she said. “I just want to look good and feel good and I don’t need you to tell me about it or comment on it. I just want to exist in my own space.”
