Rudy Giuliani A spokesman for the former New York City mayor recovered Sunday from other injuries following a car accident in New Hampshire, where he was a passenger, as he recovered from a broken vertebrae and other injuries.
Giuliani was driving to a Ford Bronco, which was rented by spokesman Ted Goodman, New Hampshire State Police said in a statement.
The Troopers witnessed a crash, with both vehicles hitting the median highway, which “severely damaged,” state police said. Goodman and the 19-year-old suffered “life-threatening injuries” and were taken to hospital for treatment, the agency added.
State police said they are investigating the crash and no charges have been filed.
Giuliani, 81, was taken to a nearby trauma center where he was treated for a fractured thoracic vertebrae, multiple tears and contusions, and injuries to his left arm and lower limb.
Giuliani “has been injured, but he’s well and is very well recovered,” Ragusa said. “This wasn’t a targeted attack.”
Prior to the accident, Giuliani contacted police assistance on her behalf, saying that she had been “flagged by a woman who was a victim of a domestic violence incident,” Ragusa said. Giuliani continued along the way after police arrived, and his car was attacked shortly after being pulled onto the highway in a crash crash that was “completely unrelated” to a domestic violence incident, Ragusa told The Associated Press in a statement received email.
State police said troopers investigated domestic violence reports on the southbound Interstate 93 highway before 10pm and observed crash falls in the northbound lane. Troopers and firefighters quickly crossed and provided help.
New Hampshire State Police declined to comment on whether Giuliani had contacted the agency regarding accounting of a domestic violence incident.
