Romy and Jake Reiner are preparing to say goodbye to their parents.
More than a week after Rob and Michelle Reiner were murdered in their Los Angeles home, the children are in the process of making funeral plans, a spokesperson told People on Dec. 22. “We will share information about a memorial service in memory of their parents at a later date.”
Meanwhile, the brothers are secretly mourning the death of the film director and photographer, who was stabbed to death in the early hours of December 14, authorities said.
“Jake and Romy Reiner remain grateful for the outpouring of love and support they have received,” the representative added.
The couple, whose 32-year-old brother Nick Reiner is accused of killing Rob and Michelle after a fight at Conan O’Brien’s Christmas party on December 13, previously urged the public to pay their respects during their memorial service.
In a Dec. 17 statement obtained by NBC News, Jake, 34, and Romy, 27, said, “Words cannot even begin to describe the unimaginable pain we are experiencing every moment of every day.” “The horrifying and devastating loss of our parents, Rob Reiner and Michelle Reiner, is something no one should ever have to experience. They were more than just our parents, they were our best friends.”
