Christy Carlson Romano played the brainy Len Stevens for three years on Even Stevens, brought the titular Kim Possible to life, and was a hit in 2002’s DCOM Cadet Kelly. After starring opposite Larry Duff, she played Belle in the Disney film Beauty and the Beast, which ran for 31 weeks on Broadway in 2004, before returning to the famed theater district in 2008 to join the Avenue Q troupe.

She wrote the novel Grace’s Turn in 2007, directed the feature film Christmas All Over Again in 2016, earned a degree in film studies from Barnard College, and married writer and producer Brendan Rooney on December 31, 2013. The couple has two daughters, the youngest of whom was born in February 2019.

Christie returned to the network that shot to fame in 2019 when she played pop star Poppy Blue in the live-action film Kim Possible. In May 2019, she also opened up about the challenges she faced during her years as a network star in a powerful essay for Teen Vogue. “I have never been perfect, nor have I compiled my reputation or professional success. “Young adulthood may be indicative,” she confessed. “At one point in my life, I was battling depression. drinkingetc. I was desperately trying to correct my feelings. ”
