Rachael Kirkconnell details Matt James’ breakup post on a plane
As the “Bachelor Nation” star explained, she was informed that their breakup had become public thanks to Matt’s Instagram post announcing their breakup when she boarded a plane to depart from Tokyo, and then lost access to Wi-Fi for another 12 hours.
“I was literally getting ready to take off when my phone exploded,” she said. “It was one of my best friends, and it said ‘Luck’ with a bunch of question marks. As soon as I saw it, I thought, ‘Oh my god, how does she know?’ And she texted me again and said, ‘I saw Matt’s post. Is this real?'” So I found out he posted it. So, literally, the plane took off, I saw his post, and that was it. No service or anything for the next 12 hours. ”
“So I’m freaking out because we just broke up and now, hours later, it’s out there for the whole world to see and I’m still trying to process it,” she continued. “I’m still in complete shock, so knowing that the whole world is watching this. I’m like, ‘This is really crazy. I can’t even collect my thoughts about this right now.'”
