John and Amy’s determination to speak out about their family’s devastating tragedy in the hopes of preventing similar incidents from happening in the future really touched Camilla’s heart.
“When you bring up the topic of domestic violence and all of a sudden you hear stories like John and Amy’s, you feel so strongly about it,” she told them.
Amy praised Camila for speaking out, saying, “Every woman has a story and it takes a lot to share these things.”
Kyle Clifford pleaded guilty to murder in January, more than six months after Carol, Hannah and Louise were killed in a crossbow attack in their family’s Hertfordshire home in June 2024. He was sentenced to life in prison in March.
Meanwhile, Amy and John remember their deceased loved ones, not how they died, but how they lived.
“I think it’s really important to remember that they died tragically,” Amy stressed. “But they didn’t live a sad life… Their life was filled with a lot of love and joy and happiness and fun.”
