Duchess Kate and Prince William’s daughter is the perfect princess.
Princess Charlotte, 10, showed off her musical skills when she made a surprise appearance alongside the Princess of Wales on ITV’s holiday special Royal Carol: Together for Christmas on December 24.
In what Kensington Palace described as a “special duet,” the mother-daughter duo sat together at the piano to perform Erland Cooper’s “Holm Sound.”
Duchess Kate, who also shares Prince George, 12, and Prince Louis, 7, with the future King of England, looked elegant in a green Christmas dress, while her little me was all smiles in an adorable navy blue sweater and plaid skirt outfit for the TV show.
Kate not only performed the song, but also conveyed an emotional message through the song’s narration.
“The essence of Christmas is about love taking form in the simplest and most human way,” the 43-year-old began. “Not in a sentimental or pretentious way, but in a kind way. A moment of listening, a word of comfort, a friendly conversation, a helping hand, a presence. These simple acts of caring may seem small, but they contribute to the beautiful tapestry of life to which we all belong.”
