Prince William and Duchess Kate’s children are very sensitive to their emotions.
Prince William, whose children include Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, 7, spoke at length about the comfort his children feel in opening up about their feelings.
In fact, Prince William said his three young children “sometimes talk too much” about their emotions, he jokingly said during a panel discussion on BBC Radio 1’s Life Hacks: Mental Health Special on February 18.
But this level of interaction not only allows William to be in tune with his children’s emotions, but also gives him a desire to solve their problems, something the 43-year-old is trying to fight against his instincts.
“Everyone feels like they have to fix it, but I think that’s very difficult for me,” William explained. “You have to remind yourself that you don’t have to fix everything, but you do need to listen, and it’s important to just be OK with the feelings and comments.”
He added: “Sometimes you’ll have unpleasant feelings, and other times you’ll have really wonderful feelings. There’s a huge range in between.”
