Spanish police clashed with Marseille fans ahead of the French club and the Real Madrid Champions League match.

The conflict began on Tuesday in the Spanish capital. Fans were waiting to enter Santiago Bernabeu Stadium before the game.

Police officers on riot equipment and horse-riding use batons to disband French supporters.

Thousands of French fans were expected to play, and the game was attended by a fierce police presence.

The situation was quickly controlled and fans entered the stadium in time for the game.

The Bernabeu security guards did not allow fans to enter the stadium with the Palestinian flag. The Palestinian protests implemented policies this weekend, even before the headlines were made to disrupt Spain’s Vluta cycling race.

The flag was confiscated by fans who tried to enter with them.

The anti-Israel government protests disrupt several stages of Vuelta over three weeks.

Protesters who called for Team Israel’s Premier Tech to be expelled from the Grand Tour event threw barriers on Sunday into the road and clashed with police, citing the final stage not being completed as originally planned.
