Kelly Clarkson’s son Remy surprises mother with adorable Frank Sinatra performance
According to Paul Anka, Frank Sinatra certainly did it his way.
The “Put Your Head on My Shoulder” singer recently addressed long-standing rumors that her late friend was blessed with a wealth of talent, admitting, “Yeah, it was big” about the Sinatra package.
“You never know what it’s going to do to you,” Anka told Page Six in an interview published Nov. 30, explaining how she witnessed Ol’ Blue Eyes’ private life while in a sauna with the Rat Pack, which also includes Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr., Peter Lawford and Joey Bishop. “I wasn’t good at eye contact.”
But the 84-year-old pointed out that Sinatra, who died in 1998 at the age of 82, was less intense than another 20th century entertainment icon.
“It’s crazy, most of all,” Anka added, “Milton Berle!”
According to biographer James Kaplan, chatter about Sinatra’s family jewelry began around 1952, when his then-wife, Ava Gardner, commented to a reporter about the music icon’s 119-pound frame, sarcastically saying, “Nineteen pounds is pretty good.” (Sinatra was married to Nancy Barbato for 12 years before marrying Gardner, but they divorced in 1957.)
