Eventually, Rizzo discovers that after years of maintaining a plant-based diet and returning to eating meat, she is no longer vegan, helping her get full.
“When I was vegan, I was consuming a lot of fake meat,” she explained. “I was eating a lot of bread. I was eating a lot of rice. And I had to eat a lot of it, but in reality I was burning like 3,000 to 5,000 calories a day.”
While reintroducing meat into her diet, she noticed the change. “When I actually started eating whole food and started eating beef, chicken and fish,” Rizzo pointed out. “I didn’t enlarge my stomach by putting a lot of fakes there that were actually full and didn’t actually fill me.”
Musicians also resonated with the stigma that people often face by slimming down using ozempics and other weight loss pills.
“I don’t think it’s easy,” she said. “I saw something like, “It’s a drug to help people who have something they’re struggling with.” When you tell someone they’re cheating, it’s their way of being their fat phobic. ”
