Openai introduced a new program called “Openai Grove” on Friday.

Unlike Openai’s Pioneer program, which launched in April, Grove is aimed at individuals in the very new stages of corporate development, from pre-idea to pre-seed stages.

For five weeks, participants will receive mentoring from OpenAI technology leaders, early access to new tools and models, and in-person workshops at the company’s San Francisco headquarters.

Approximately 15 members will participate in the Glove’s first cohort. This will be held from October 20th to November 21st, 2025. Applicants must submit an entry form until September 24th.

CNBC contacted Openai to comment on the program.

Following the programme, Grove participants will be able to continue working with ChatGPT manufacturers in-house. This has been worth $500 billion recently.

Other industry rivals have already launched their own AI accelerator programs. Google For startups, they used cloud AI accelerators last winter. At the beginning of April this year, Microsoft For startups that are partnering with Pearlx, a cohort accelerator program for pre-seeded businesses.

According to an analysis by JP Morgan, nurturing these emerging AI companies is only a small part of the recent large investments in AI companies.

According to CB Insights, AI startups raised $1000.3 billion in the US in the first half of this year, with over 1,300 AI startups currently valuing more than $100 million.
