nvidia CEO Jensen Fan will join President Donald Trump on a state visit to the UK next week. This was told by a plan-savvy person on Monday to CNBC’s Christina Partineberus.

People asked to remain anonymous to discuss the trip.

Nvidia’s chief is one of the US business leaders expected to accompany Trump, including Open’s Sam Altman, Blackstone CEO, Stephen Schwartzman and BlackRock CEO Larry Fink.

apple According to the report, CEO Tim Cook was invited.

According to Sky News, celebrities are expected to join Trump at a state banquet hosted by King Charles next week.

Huang was particularly lacking in Trump’s White House dinner for his tech CEO last week, but attendance on the UK trip highlights chipmakers managing their relationship with the president as Nvidia seeks a new license to sell current generations of Blackwell chips in China.

Since the company’s access to the Chinese market was questioned earlier this year, Huang has developed close ties with Trump and praised the president’s commitment to US manufacturing.

Huang tried to convince the president that allowing Nvidia to export chips to China would be good for US national security, as it means that the US will continue to lead the AI race.

Trump praised Nvidia for being a technical leader and was pleased when the company surpassed its $4 trillion market capitalization, Huang said earlier.

Nvidia said earlier this year that access to the Chinese market was cut off by the Trump administration using export controls. Huang then met with Trump twice in the White House in the summer, securing an export exemption for China AI chips called H20.

Trump said he negotiated with Huang to cut 15% in these chip sales. Nvidia said last month that details of the US government’s cuts have not been finalized.

Fans also joined Trump on a trip to Saudi Arabia in May for an investment forum.

Nvidia previously said it would need to scrap H20 chips, which could potentially generate $8 billion in sales in a quarter. He said that as much as $5 billion in H20 chips could be sold this quarter, depending on the geopolitical environment.

However, Nvidia is currently focusing on getting a license to sell new chips to China, and Huang said there is a “real possibility” to get approval from investors last month.
