Semiconductor giant Nvidia is reportedly considering making a huge investment in AI software development platform Poolside.
Nvidia is considering investing at least $500 million and up to $1 billion in Poolside, which builds AI models for software development, according to a Bloomberg report citing sources. The investment is part of a $2 billion funding round that Poolside is raising at a valuation of $12 billion, according to Bloomberg.
NVIDIA’s investment could increase to $1 billion if the company successfully closes its remaining funding rounds, according to a report from Bloomberg.
This isn’t the first time Nvidia has invested in Poolside. Nvidia previously backed Poolside in a $500 million Series B round in October 2024.
Nvidia has already invested heavily in AI startups and is expanding its portfolio to include diverse sectors. For example, Nvidia announced in October that it was considering a $500 million investment in Wave, a UK-based autonomous driving company. Last month, the company acquired a $5 billion stake in Intel with plans for future chip collaboration.
