Not long ago, she hinted that her and the Olympian’s wedding planning process wasn’t moving too quickly.
“I really want to enjoy it and not rush the process,” Nina told E! This is the announcement for March. “We’re engaged at the moment and we’re enjoying being at that stage because a lot of times in your life, half your life you have a boyfriend and half your life you have a husband. But being engaged is a very short period of time.”
By September, the two had called off their engagement of five years. And just before this news became public, Nina hinted that they would mend their tainted relationship.
“What advice do you have for women who are trying to fix their men?” the Degrassi alum said in a Sept. 5 TikTok video. “Listen, Bob the builder, he’s got ten other women trying to fix him and you’re all like construction workers.”
Since her split from Sean, Nina has been busy with close friends, attending Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco’s wedding with Ashley Park, and traveling to Europe on a yacht with Zac Efron, Miles Teller, Kelly Teller and Chace Crawford for friends’ weddings.
In fact, this fling even sparked romance rumors between her and the High School Musical star. However, as Nina later emphasized, lately she has been focusing on herself.
“I’m excited about the future,” she told TMZ. “The only thing guaranteed is change.”
