Liverpool came from behind to knock Galatasaray out of the Champions League, but it was revealed that their star striker was injured.

Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen played with a broken arm in the 4-0 UEFA Champions League defeat to Liverpool, trying to prevent his team from being eliminated 4-1 on aggregate.
The Nigerian club said in a post-match statement on Wednesday that Osimhen suffered a blow to his right arm during the first half at Anfield.

He remained on the pitch until half-time, but was unable to resume after the interval due to a suspected fracture.
Galatasaray announced, “After the match, he was examined at the hospital under the supervision of the medical team, and it was confirmed that he had a fracture in his right forearm, and a cast was placed on him.” “Following further tests, a decision on possible surgical treatment will be made within the next few days.”
Galatasaray led 1-0 following the first leg, but Liverpool were level on aggregate by the end of the first half at Anfield, and three quick-fire goals in the second half – scored by Mohamed Salah – overcame the deficit to settle the draw.
Liverpool’s victory secured a place in the quarter-finals against trophy holders Paris Saint-Germain.
Osimhen is likely to be in doubt for the rest of the season, and although he is one of the brightest talents in the game, Nigeria missed out on qualification for this summer’s 2026 FIFA World Cup after being eliminated in the play-offs against the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Galatasaray are four points behind Turkish league leaders Fenerbahce and Trabzonspor and will travel to the latter on Sunday.
