The Ref is not calling the flag of Tom Brady’s latest play.
After the retired New England Patriot quarterback raised an eyebrow by stepping into the Las Vegas Raiders coaching booth during a September 15 game against the Los Angeles Chargers, the NFL set the record straight for whether he violated the rules by entering the box.
And according to the football organization, Brady is the owner of the Raiders’ small number, and Fox’s sports broadcaster Brady never broke the code of conduct with the move.
“Brady was sitting in the booth in his limited partner ability,” said NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy, who said, “There is no policy prohibiting owners from sitting in coaches’ booths or wearing headsets.”
The league then emphasized that Brady is within the right to wear a headset in the coaching area. As the spokesman said, “All personnel sitting in the booth must comply with a policy that prohibits the use of non-league electronic devices, such as the Microsoft Surface Tablet for sideline viewing systems.”
