Premier League champions sign Swedish International close the most pulled transfer saga of the summer.
Released on September 1, 2025
According to multiple media reports, British Premier League champion Liverpool has agreed to sign Newcastle United’s Alexander Isaac with a record-breaking relocation fee.
The Swedish forward is expected to join the Reds in deals worth around £130 million ($176 million), according to reports on Monday by Athletics and Telegraph.
Athletic reported that ISAK will complete a six-year contract with the Merseyside Club before receiving medical care on Monday.
The 25-year-old striker scored 23 goals in the Premier League last season. This is just behind Liverpool’s Mohamed Sara as Newcastle competed in the Champions League.
However, he was the subject of a prolonged, sometimes intense transfer saga this summer, training away from other teams in Newcastle after clarifying his desire to move to Liverpool.
On Saturday, Newcastle signed German international striker Nick Urtemed at a record club fee, and was deemed to pave the way for Isaac to leave, and was reported to be worth up to £69 million ($93 million).
