Marshawn Kneeland’s girlfriend Catalina Mancera shares message to baby after NFL star’s death
Marshawn Kneeland’s pregnant girlfriend Catalina Mancera is ready to get into the motherhood game.
Nearly two months after the Dallas Cowboys defensive player died from an apparent suicide at the age of 24, the entrepreneur shared a message for his unborn child.
“Long before I knew you, I dreamed about you,” Mancera wrote on Instagram, along with an ultrasound photo. “I dreamed of starting a family, of the life your father and I talked and imagined together. I’m so excited for you, but my heart still hurts. I hope you experience the same way I did, for the moments I won’t be able to share with him, and for that love.”
As custom game day apparel business founder Szn Stitches prepares for June’s arrival while working through the grieving process, bright spots remain.
“I don’t think this will get any easier with time, but I think God knew what my heart wanted,” she said. “God blessed me with you when I needed you the most. In the midst of all of this, you gave me purpose and hope and something to hold on to. Even when it hurts, I trust in God’s timing. I know He has my back for both of us.”
