Meghan Markle shares some of her favorite things
The series showcases Meghan’s love of hospitality, cooking, gardening, and decorating, but also highlights her other interests.
For example, in one episode she hosted a game night for her friends.
“In the last few months, we all started learning mahjong together,” she said. “Mahjong originated in China in the 1800s, and we play a version called American Mahjong. What I really loved about Mahjong was that the game itself was so much fun, but what was best of all was the idea of learning something new with your friends and realizing that Mahjong could be a backdrop for expanding your friendships.”
In another episode, Meghan’s friend and Tatcha founder Vicki Tsai said that Meghan also likes pickleball, and revealed some of her favorite music genres.
“I listen to a lot of 70s soft rock, yacht rock, and soul,” Meghan said in episode 5. “And French dinner party music.”
And when it comes to food, she said she has a “very high tolerance” for spices.
“From an early age we didn’t have much, but we did travel,” she said. “My mom was a travel agent. We used to try different flavors and different places. My mom used to make gumbo. Soul food has a lot of flavor and a lot of excitement. I crave it and I’m always drawn to that level of heat. So I invite my family to join my palate, and I love it.”
