Fascinated by the people she met, the traditions she witnessed, and the inns she stayed at, she left her small town with a concept for a series that included some of the dialogue from the pilot.
“I thought it would be great if I could make people feel as much as I felt walking around this fairy town,” Sherman-Palladino told the Deseret News.
2. Alexis Bledel has only one uncredited acting role on her resume and was a student at New York University when she auditioned for Rory.
“I was very sick, but I was a student at New York University, and they kept calling me for auditions,” Bledel recalled during an appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers. “I think we went about six times. Oddly enough, I wasn’t a very experienced actor. I didn’t know the process. I was a little impatient. I had a little attitude, but my boss really liked it. She was like, ‘This is our girl!’ I was like, “Are you going to take me back?” And she was like, ‘I love it, it’s perfect.’
