Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard’s kids aren’t running away from their opinions on movies.
Especially if it’s your parents’ movie. Dax revealed that his daughters Lincoln, 12, and Delta, 10, watched the 2012 film Hit and Run and how they felt about the breakup between their parents’ characters.
“They were very upset,” the singular star said on the Nov. 25 episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!. While sitting next to Kristen, she said, “And what I was so happy about was that they were mad at mom and not me. They thought mom was BH. They thought dad was a good kid with a bad past, and she’ll look past that, and I agree.”
Fortunately, her mother and Dax’s characters reconciled, although they did not agree with their mother’s on-screen decisions, but ultimately Lincoln and Delta enjoyed the movie.
“We spent all this time making this independent film, which my dad wrote and directed, and they were like, ‘We want to see it,'” Dax explained. “And we haven’t seen it in a long time. We like, ‘Okay, let’s watch it together.’ they liked it. Very inappropriate. And that was a great litmus test for our kids. ”
