January 2023: First date nerves
In August 2023, Kelsey posted footage of the beginning of their relationship and shared an old clip of herself on TikTok getting ready for their first official date on January 7, 2023.
“Happy weekend,” she captioned the post, adding, “Video I sent to my best friend before my first date with Chase.”
Kelsey modeled her outfit in the video to “How Do I Do This,” a song about going on a first date in years.
“This is how I styled it with boots,” Kelsey said as she checked herself in a full-length mirror.
She turned around to show off her half-up, half-down hairstyle, adding, “I’m trying to be a cool girl, so I added a hair clip.”
She continued her conversation with an anonymous friend, explaining, “He’s picking me up and we’re going to a sushi restaurant, so I’m going to call him tomorrow to get an update.”
Taking a deep breath and raising one arm and finger to the sky, she finally said: “I can do this. I can do this.”
Then, after a little dancing, she declared: “This is just a date. We’re just going to go, eat some food, and talk about what we’re doing, okay?”
