Mary Steenburgen, Jane Fonda, Candice Bergen

Each of her Diane’s Book Club co-stars paid tribute to the late actress.

The Elf actress stressed that her late friend was “magical”.

“There has never been anyone like her, and there never will be,” she said in a statement. “I loved her and felt happy to be her friend. Her love for her family. What a magical person she was!!!”

“It’s hard to believe and accept that Diane has passed away,” Jane wrote in an Instagram post. “She was always a ray of life and light, always laughing at her weaknesses and infinitely creative…in her acting, her wardrobe, her books, her friends, her home, her library, her worldview. What was unique was who she was. And although she didn’t know it or wouldn’t admit it, hey, she was a great actress!”

Meanwhile, Candice wrote in her post: “This is a huge loss for me personally and for all of us.”

The Miss Congeniality actress continued: “Diane was a true artist. She was extremely talented and unique in so many areas, but also humble and wonderfully eccentric. She will be sorely missed.”
