That wasn’t the case, Tom admitted to Justin, but as soon as he read it (and Kaylee read it too), it “made sense” to him.
“I think that was the essence of him: how much he loved kids, the way he told jokes, the range of emotions he had in just one episode,” the Ozark alum told Men’s Health in October. “I think Kayley understands that this guy has a big fuck heart, even if he’s a little rough around the edges. Maybe that’s what she thinks of me.”
Tom and Kaley are big fans of each other when it comes to work, but in real life they’re 10 times more so than the two, who got engaged in 2024 after more than two years of dating.
“Kayley shows up for me even when it’s hard for me to show up for myself,” Tom admitted. “And there are other ways I can show up for her as well. It’s really great to be part of the team in that way. And we take our relationship very seriously. We’re working on it.”
“Nothing important in life takes care of itself,” he continued. “If you want to be healthy, you go to the gym. If you want to have good relationships, you take the time to pay attention to them. And now that I have a family, I’ve never found anything more worthy of my time and attention.”
