So she chose to be blunt — “I said, ‘Well, that’s fine. We’re all getting older. You’re getting older, I’m getting older,'” — but the exchange stuck with her a little bit.
“It really got me thinking. Wow, life is moving so fast, and maybe grandma’s time is just around the corner,” she admitted. And it made her decide to enjoy everyday life again.
“Let your child ride the Tonka truck up and down the dirt roads as much as they want, because one day you’re going to be a grandma,” she mused.
