On the season 21 finale of The Bachelorette, it seemed like Bachelor alum Jen Tran finally had her happy ending with finalist Devin Strader. But Jen revealed on After the Final Rose in September 2024 that Devin snubbed her as soon as the cameras stopped.
“He would boldly declare his love and then all of a sudden the next day he wouldn’t say anything and he would deny that he was in love,” Jen told host Jesse Palmer on the Sept. 3 episode. “All the promises he made to me, all the love he wanted to give me, they weren’t there anymore.”
The drama continued when Devin shared a 13-minute video to Instagram detailing his side of the story, where in addition to taking “accountability,” Devin shared insight into why he ended their relationship over a 15-minute phone call.
Jen claimed he dumped her during a phone call in August, but Jen claimed she demanded to know what went wrong as she tried to find a way to break the news to him in person.
“I just didn’t know what else to do,” he explained, noting that he was waiting to tell her in person. “She forced my hand.”
Jen then waltzed to Dancing with the Stars and into the heart of her partner Sasha Farber. The two continued to dance together after being eliminated in October 2024, but disbanded in 2025.
