Meeting halfway wasn’t always easy for Josh Duhamel and Fergie.
The Transformers actor, who shares son Axel-Jacques Duhamel, 12, with the Fergalicious singer, offered new insight into their 2017 split, explaining that the main reason for his divorce from his ex-wife was their conflicting outlooks on life.
“We’re very different,” he explained on the March 2 episode of the “Skinny Confidential” podcast. “Fergie and I have different worldviews, and that’s okay.”
Despite having contrasting values, Josh, 53, insists he has “no regrets” about marrying his 50-year-old boyfriend, highlighting their strong co-parenting dynamic and Fergie’s friendly dynamic with wife Audra Mari, whom he married in 2022.
“She’s a great mother,” he said of his ex-girlfriend. “[She’s]very sweet and not very confrontational, so thankfully we have a good relationship. She and Audra have a great relationship.”
Josh, who also fathers son Shepard Lawrence Duhamel, 2, with Audra, previously detailed the end of his relationship with Fergie in October 2023, admitting that he never “understood” the public interest in their romance.
