Emily in Paris releases first look for season 5 following Camille Razat’s sudden exit
Jeremy O. Harris is facing a new legal battle.
The Emily in Paris actor, who plays Gregory Elliott Dupre in the Netflix series, was arrested at a Japanese airport last month on suspicion of trying to smuggle illegal drugs into Japan, local authorities confirmed to Reuters on December 4.
Tomigusuku Police, which oversees the airport, told the New York Times that Harris flew into Japan’s Okinawa island on Nov. 16 and has been detained since customs officials found ecstasy in his bag.
Officials said 780 milligrams of ecstasy, a hallucinogen also known as MDMA, was found in his carry-on bag.
The New York Times reported that Harris was arrested at the time on suspicion of violating customs laws that prohibit travelers from bringing drugs into the country, but it is unclear whether he was formally charged or whether the playwright admitted to the charges.
Eh! The News reached out to Harris and Tomigusuku police representatives, but did not receive a response.
